This coin shows the templates more fully. The grey areas
on the template are only present on the screen to guide you in entering
them - when printed the marks look just as though they are part of the
coin design (keep scrolling down for a segment of a print preview).
Again, the inch and grain fields are only present because I have them set
in my preferences. In NOMISMA the aqua entries signify things that
you can't directly enter, although again that will depend upon your preferences,
and the coin number can be edited by checking the box just above the coin
number. This is one of the eleven main screens in NOMISMA.
Note that on the printout below, the actual printer output is higher
resolution and the NOMISMA font looks better. The icon in the upper
left hand corner is one suggestion, but since it really represents a crusader
shield, and the crusaders and the Byzantines weren't always on the best
of terms (the Fourth Crusade and all of that), it seems unlikely to last
as the icon. A double-headed eagle has been suggested, but that technically
was the symbol of only the last Byzantine dynasty, the Palaeologans.
Any suggestions?
