Introducing Moneta Version 2.0
Extending the Power of Moneta to the Provinces

Already the standard for Roman Imperial Coinage, Moneta 2.0 adds the following:
 
I)  The unique Numus Moneta font is now used for all legends as well as mintmarks.
       a)  This means Greek provincial legends can now be documented in Moneta.
             1)  Including mixed Greek-Latin legends such as are sometimes found on coinage of the true colonies and municipia.
       b)  This means legends using such unique devices as the ligate CMH can now be documented in Moneta.
 
II)  Over 3,200 Colonial/Greek provincial obverse legends have been added to the Moneta obverse legend database.
      a)  This database is fully searchable, either in its entirety or by 'class' (Colonial, Greek, Latin Imperial, etc.).
      b)  The legends that appear in the drop-down pick lists can be selected to be all, or restricted by 'class'.
      c)   Over 5,900 total obverse legends are now searchable.
 
III)  5,650 Colonial/Greek provincial reverse legends have been added, associated with the ruler and Colony/Municipium.
       a)  All are fully searchable.
       b)  Legends appearing in the drop-down lists for the appropriate ruler can be all, or restricted by 'class'.
       c)  Over 14,875 total reverse legends are now searchable.
 
IV)  All Imperatorial legends for Augustus (Octavian) have been added.
 
V)  Over 1,000 city names and titles are in a new provincial city database, including Greek, Colonial, and Municipal coinages.
       a)  This database is fully searchable via a 'City Identifier', including wildcards to signify uncertain portions on your coin.
 
VI)  A ‘City’ field has been added, allowing the issuing city to be recorded and printed on the reports and coin flips.
       a)  610 coin-issuing provincial cities and their regions have been pre-loaded as selections, in keeping with
            the renowned Moneta principles of good data-warehousing.
 
VII)  Support has been added for obverse issue identifiers.
       a)  Unique fields for marks to both the left of the bust and the right of the bust.
       b)  Drop-down lists unique to each side of the bust give the selection of all known marks.
 
VIII)  The Numus Moneta font has been modified to allow support of the 'dolphin' mint marks.
        a)  7,240 mint marks fully searchable
 
IX)  The underlying database structure has been modified to be compatible with the forthcoming Byzantine program,
          Nomisma.
 
X)  An additional field has been added to the Compudex, allowing both website and email hot links to be stored.
