Numus Moneta Version 2.0 Free Upgrade Download (revised July 5, 2009)
NOTE:  THIS FILE WILL NOT WORK WITH MONETA 1.2 - SEE BELOW FOR MONETA 1.2
       This revision:
2.0.1) Fixes an error in the "Add a Reverse Legend" where legends always ended up in the
'Greek Provincial' category.  For Moneta2.exe files dated before June 6, 2004
2.0.2) Fixes an error introduced in version 2 that caused erratic zipped backups of the
Compudex and Dealer Lists.  For Moneta2.exe files dated before June 23, 2004
2.0.3) More fault tolerance - the program can now self-repair some data corruption caused
by improper shutdown or power notches.  Also Moneta font sizing improved on legend
and mint mark search mini-screen. For Moneta2.exe files dated before  December 2, 2004
2.0.4) Achieved true screen resolution independence, Numus Moneta font embedded in pdf
report exports when needed, minor statistics report formatting issues fixed.
For Moneta2.exe files dated before February 4, 2005
2.0.5)  Filtered search results are now sortable by nearly any column in the search results by
simply clicking on a column title.   For Moneta2.exe files dated before February 14, 2005
2.0.6)  Now accepts combined images (obv and rev in one image).  Moneta will, with the click of a
button, break the combined image and load obv and rev.  Image cropping ability now built in.
Fixed minor anomalies in the cloning process.  For Moneta2.exe files dated before March 5, 2005
2.0.7)  Printing mint marks in the Numus Moneta font on flips is now optional.  The mint mark prints
on one line, flanked by the right (or middle) control marks and the left control marks.  Mint mark
printing can beselected using the "Flip Designer" mini-screen.  "Authenticity" is no longer a
printable option on flips.  For Moneta2.exe files dated before March 19, 2005
2.0.8)  Some video cards had trouble rendering the previous "Cropping" screen, so the method has
been changed to a more easily displayed one.  For Moneta2.exe files dated before June 24, 2005
2.0.9)  Added partial support for data backups to CD.  The "Moneta Data Backup" screen (accessed
via 'Backup Data' button on 'Custom 10' screen) can automatically select the Windows "CD Burning"
folder as the destination of the zipped files.  Then the built-in Windows CD burning functionality can
be used outside of Moneta.  For Moneta2.exe files before December 11, 2005.
2.0.10b) Allows Thumbnail images of all filter (search) results to be both viewed and printed with coin
number and attribution.  A "Thumbs" button has been added to the 'Filter 4' and 'R Filter 6' screens.
This is a graphics intensive operation so be patient with large numbers of search results.  This version
also allows easier changes to Dealer List.  10a adds a single-character wild-card to legend and city
searches.  One or more '8's can be typed in a row to signify an exact number of missing letters.  The
'*' still signifies an unknown number of letters.  Two 'wildcard' sections can be used in each search.
'*' and '8' may not be mixed in the same section (makes no sense).  The '8' will display as a 'backward'
sigma, which is not otherwise used in legends or cities.  10b adds a checkbox to the legend and city
searches which allows Moneta to match both forms of the Greek letter 'Upsilon', since the same legend
in two different sources may be recorded using either the 'Y' form or the 'V' form.
For Moneta2.exe files before March 1, 2006.
2.0.11a)  Added ability to filter obverse and reverse legend search results by ruler.  Also improved image
positioning and proportionality when resizing forms.  11a adds the ability to completely resize Moneta
and eliminates nuisance problem affecting some displays of a "green screen" appearing over the desired
screen (requiring a click to the header to disappear).  For Moneta2.exe files before July 6, 2006.
2.0.12c)  NOW WINDOWS VISTA COMPATIBLE.  This release solves all critical functionality issues
for Moneta to run on the Windows Vista operating system (and is backward compatible with all previous
Windows operating systems). There are still some non-critical visual issues to be solved, which will be dealt
with in a later release ( details ).  Also, Vista will not allow you to unzip our upgrade into the proper
Program Files\Numus\Moneta2 location without running the download with Adminstrator Privileges
Details on converting to Vista.  12a adds the option of printing "Acquired From" information on a
2x2 flip, and fixes a bug which prevented changing passwords (this used to work, but somewhere
along the way the ability was broken).  Moneta uses the same password for program access as the
Setup screen access.  The default password is 'Moneta', but of course if you use password
protection you can personalize it.  12b fixes some minor issues on Vista installation.   12c supports multiple
Moneta installations on the same Vista computer (see FAQ's) - always possible with previous Windows editions.
For Moneta2.exe files dated before July 15, 2007.
2.0.13c) Now supports Windows Vista "eye-candy" features.  Resizes better on wide-screens.  New report previewer
and HTML report exports have been replaced with XHTML exports to support future features.  Restored scrolling
to thumbnail screens.  Fixed bug on data backup screen.  13a corrects some minor display issues, 13b corrects issues
on the "Add a Ruler" miniscreen and with Flip printing.  13c adds a help screen for the Die Alignment field - just press
F12 when in the Die Alignment field and the help screen opens.  For Moneta2.exe files dated before October 27, 2007.
2.0.14a)  Moneta can now be installed on a removable drive (such as a thumbdrive) and be moved from one computer to
another as long as Moneta has previously been installed on that computer (see FAQ's).  14a adds image previews to
Filter screens and highlights selected column/row on Stats screen.  For Moneta2.exe files dated before March 8, 2008.
2.0.15a)  Removed coins can now be exported in CSV format as well as the collection coins.  15a adds "date-pickers" to
the entry screen, and allows line breaks and paragraphs in the Notes section.  This version works on Windows 7.
For Moneta2.exe files before July 5, 2009.

This upgrade involves one file:  Moneta2.exe
Moneta must be closed before making this upgrade.
You will know your upgrade was successful if the
Moneta start-up screen displays 'Version 2.0.15a'

The ZippedMoneta2.exe is a compressed file for fast downloading, and will automatically uncompress
when you run it (double-clicking on it will do).  It will uncompress ('un-zip') into a small window
labeled 'WinZip Self-Extractor - ZippedMoneta2.exe' where you tell it where to put the file.
For Windows XP and earlier Windows:  You should select your Moneta directory for the 'Unzip to folder:' path
(If you accepted the default installation when you first installed Moneta, you can accept the 'Unzip to folder:'
default, which is C:\Program Files\Numus\Moneta2 ). Then click the 'Unzip' button and after you get the
message "1 File(s) Unzipped Successfully" simply click the 'Close' button and you should be upgraded.
For Windows Vista/Windows 7:  Vista/7 will not allow you to simply unzip into the Program Files directory, so you
should run the file with administrative privileges (right-click on the file and choose "Run as Administrator", then
"Allow" yourself when Vista asks for confirmation).  Note for 64-bit Vista systems only, the "unzip to"
destination must be changed to C:\Program Files (x86)\Numus\Moneta2. For any Windows Operating System,
you only need to apply the latest revision.  If you need further help, drop us an e-mail: moneta@numus.com

FLASHER: A freeware screen saver for Windows

Thanks to Harvey Shore from Sydney, Australia we're able to post this easy-to-use screen
saver.  Originally written for Windows 95, we at Numus have tested it on Windows 98 and
it seems to work fine, but we haven't gotten around to Win2000 yet.  Just download the zip
file, unzip it, and run the SETUP.EXE  It will automatically add itself to the list of available
screensavers.  When running it will automatically rotate any images it finds in the 'Flasher'
directory which it creates.  A mix of .bmp, .jpg, .gif, .avi, and even .wav files may be used.
Unfortunately, Numus can't provide tech support for this download, as we're not its authors.
